A most sought out feature has been added to Groovylists.com by high user demand. It’s now possible to convert you Spotify playlists directly to Grooveshark. The usage is simple and is very close to how you convert iTunes playlists to Grooveshark.

Check out the video tutorial below for a quick run-down:

  1. Hi

I have tried to do it, but I receive this message after a few seconds, after clicking the converting buttom:

Fatal error: authenticateUser requires a valid session. No session was found. in /home/tommie/www/groovylistscom/library/groovesharkapi/gsapi.php on line 176

What thats means? How can I solve it?

    Thank you very much 🙂

  3. Any problems with service status at the moment? After the ‘uploading play list and adding tracks…’ box pops up, after a minute or so it just disappears and I’m back to the page with the (spotify) http play lists and no grooveshark links… any help? I’ve tried multiple browsers etc – service probems?

  5. Great work, just leave spotify for grooveshark, so this is well needed =)

Is it possible to also show a list of songs thats not been added on page so I can add them myself?

  6. Hi Tommie,

I get that there’s still a cap at 200 songs when I try to import a playlist from Spotify.
But if I just try to import say 100 or even just 50 songs, it will do the loading and it seems to work fine. I will get to the “You’re done screen” but when I check below it has skipped a lot of songs, and I mean a LOT. For instance, I tried to import 150 songs from my playlist and it only converted 12.

And i know that the songs exist on Grooveshark because when I search for them manually I find them.

Is there anything to do about this? Kinda annoying to import all the songs manually.

    Regards

    Viktor

  7. Hei, and thanks for inventing a thing like this!!! Unfortunately it does not work for me, I dont know what is the problem, I tried several times and gives me this error all the times

“Ouch! We just ran in to a rate-limit wall. This a technical error rather than a user-generated error.

The tech-monkeys are on it (read: negotiating with Grooveshark to raise the limit), please try again later.”

    Any ideas+

Btw, the list is not over 200 tracks.

    Thanks, Victor

    1. Hi Victor,

This is an unfortunate error that sometime appear based on you public IP (and if it’s shared with a lot of other people). I suggest you try and convert a playlist from another network, maybe at home or at work? That should do it.

      Sorry for the hassle!

      1. Hei, Tommie,

        thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately it does not work either at home or at work. I guess at work is normal because it is the university network, but at home it is the connection I personnally use, so maybe the dynamic Ip (or whatever was it called) made it impossible?

        A real pity.

        Thanks anyway,

        Victor

        1. Hi,

I had this problem and then realized that I wasn’t copying it right. I was right clicking on the playlist title to get the HTTP Link when the directions clearly say to

click in the playlist and select all the songs (using CTRL A) then right click and get the HTTP.
When you click to past the link into the box, you will get several HTTP links (for each song) nstead of the one playlist link

Everything goes fine, but after hitting the Groovyvy it button, Grooveshark opens in a new window. Only there’s nowhere a list. Only the homepage from Grooveshark. I tried this on several pc’s an networks.. Could you help me please

    1. same issue for me!! I have a link with a number for the playlist, but when I open it, just goes to a normal Grooveshark window… help appreciated!!!

🙁 – Plus I see recent playlists ever changing so it is working for some people.
