  • Ayia Napa picture update 1

Jezpers down here this week, feels great to get a little piece of home, makes me a bit homesick though, but i think i’ll manage. Partying, sun-bathing, drinking, hangovers has been the keywords for this week. Jezper managed to "forget" the sun lotion the first day in the sun, which resulted in a couple of trips to the pharmacy for some remedy…

The first batch of pictures is a mixture between some random shots in the beginning of May and is followed by a trip to Cape Greeko which we did today. Beautiful mountain just outside Ayia Napa. Being a couple of hundred meters above sea-level with no security fences, no nothing made little Tommie a bit worried, but it turned out just fine …

  • (un)pleasant Cyprus info

Things you don’t really need to know about Cyprus.

    • The island has been abandoned by the inhabitants twice due to overpopulation of [poisonous] snakes.
    • The large amount of stray-cats it’s because they we’re imported to fight off snakes.
    • There is a big black snake that lives close by to people since we attract rats, whom are large as cats.
    • That big black snake is supposedly enable to spit stones at you.
    • If you walk trough fields of high grass you _will_ encounter snakes.
    • There are snakes down here whom has enough poison to kill a grown man within 20 minutes, if not treated immediately.
    • There are spiders large as a mans fist, of course are they hairy and poisonous.
    • The lizards on the other hand is harmless, but has a habit of entering apartments. Altho there are chameleons whom hide in trees and will attack humans.

… it really feels that i could get by without this information …

  • One week later

yeah well, it hasn’t been one week yet since it’s Sunday evening and we came here on Monday evening, but it’s a bit slow at work atm, so I might as well write a couple of lines …

So, what’s happened? Well, first of all I’m starting to get used to my work, a bit hard in the beginning, but I’m slowly but surely getting used to all the new routines here. I’ve made several new friends; I just love the way how all the season-workers takes care of each other down here, it’s like a little family…

There is also starting to arrive more and more tourists. I spoke to a guide at Fritidsresor and she told me that all their flights from Scandinavia is fully booked so they’re actually adding additional flights to fill the demand, it’s gonna be a packed summer down here …

Weather is still great, really hot during the day and very cold during the evenings. The last time I’ve been here as a tourist you always sweated like a pig, now I’m almost freezing … hehe, I guess I’m going to look back on this period later this summer and think, damn … I miss those cold days …

  • Beachlife

Spend the entire day on the beach, had a really great time. I was there with Jonas and our newfound norwegian friend Birgitta. After an hour or two a little english girl came to us and started talking. It’s quite an odd feeling to speak english to a 6 year old girl, especially since she was better than us at it …

Life is progressing superbly down here. Our boss gave us the week of to settle in and get some sun, which we’ve done, i’m all red in my face, hehe, sunlotion is for chickens …

Got my first day at the work tomorrow, i got to be here at 10, so it’s no alcohol for me today, ‘sadly’ enough a couple of friends just stopped by and asked us if we wanted to tag along to a bar, hum, i better take it slow. It’s not a great idea to be hungover on your first day at work…

  • Napa update

    So, i’m here, finally.

We got a great apartment with 3 rooms, which means that i have my own room, and that’s unique, for being Napa. The job is just amazing. We administrate napas largest internet cafe, it bascially means that i sit infront of a computer, chatting, playing game and when a customer arrives, i make sure that they get a computer and charge them in the end. And this i get paid todo, brilliant! …

The weather down here is really sweet. It’s hot as hell, but there are cold winds blowing in from the sea, so you’re cold and hot … at the same time, hum. Oh well, i actually went out clubbing in jeans and a shirt last night. Previous times i’ve been here is during high season, so wearing jeans felt kinda odd. But hey, it’s ‘cold’ during the night …

Ahhh well, time to go to the beach, no work until friday. Wohey!

  • Ayia Napa, finally!

Ok, i’m here, let’s get ready for one hell of a summer! …

  • napa ticket!

yeah, i know you can’t see shit. But it’s indeed my ticket to napa this summer.

It’s going to happen, for real … T-5 days …
