  • Could Laconi.ca and open microblogging be the end of Twitter?

Ever heard of Laconi.ca? If not, it’s time to look it up. Its a decentralized microblogging system, basically Twitter with one million different communities where the different community-members can follow each other. There is no need to actually sign up to site X if you which to follow person Y on site X. Which makes this system very interesting.

Kolla in http://tugg.nu

  • Twitter Updates for 2008-08-27

    • Slow day at work today, been going trough piles of technical documentation for a software we consider buying. Fun? Nope, not really. #
  • Vistas worst enemy, xp pro?

While Microsoft continues to laud the advantages of its latest Windows Vista operating system, reports are starting to filter across the Net that suggest a new SP3 (Service Pack 3) heading for Windows XP actually leaves the stalwart OS running faster than its glamorous successor.

  • Molten Core cleared with 3 players

Take a Tier6 prot warrior (and his Kara-geared hunter alt), a Tier6 holy priest, a Tier4-ish feral druid (and her blue-geared mage alt).

Boredom was what led us to Molten Core, really. That, and curiosity. "I wonder how far we could get if we tried to three-man MC?" Turns out the answer is "Quite a lot further than we thought possible".

  • “The ‘Arrested Development’ movie is not dead, au contraire,” the dearly deceased show’s star, Bateman, told us Monday.

“[During the strike] you’re allowed to write things you’re not being paid to do,” Bateman explained, revealing almost as much as a never-nude. “I’m trying to talk [Hurwitz] into writing the ‘Arrested Development’ movie. And he could be coming around.”

  • Shark attacks … a kangaroo?

A GROVEDALE man watched in amazement as a 3m shark leapt from the water to attack a kangaroo swimming out to sea at Torquay's Fishermans Beach.

"The shark came right out of the water," Daniel Hurst said yesterday. "It flipped onto its side. I didn't see the kangaroo after that."

Then, a second witness came forward to back the bizarre story. Later, authorities confirmed they removed the remains of a kangaroo from the beach.

  • Michael Schumacher: The fastest taxi driver in Germany

The seven-time Formula One world champion took over from his taxi driver in order to make it to the airport in time for a flight, it has emerged.

Cabbie Tuncer Yilmaz watched in awe as the racing legend, 38, showed him how his job ought to be done.

"I found myself in the passenger seat, which was strange enough, but to have 'Schumi' behind the wheel of my cab was incredible," Mr Yilmaz told German newspaper the Muenchner Abendzeitung.

  • Donald Trump tip Buffalo Club employee $10,000

I finally brought them out the check.Trump grabbed it and actually spoke to me from the first time.“What’s the biggest tip you ever got?”“Jerry Bruckheimer comes in a lot. He tipped me $500 on a $1000 check once.”Trump nodded his head.“You’re very good at your job.”“Thanks.”Trump and the other guy got up to leave, said thanks again and left.I went back to the table to grab the check but didn’t have time to look at it until later. When I did, I couldn’t believe what I saw. Honestly, at first I thought he had tipped me $1000. But when I looked a second (and twentieth) time, it was actually $10,000. I was speechless. Honestly, it was a really rough month for me. Who thought Donald Trump of all people would make my year? But he did. I actually tried calling his office to say thanks which is impossible. So if you’re reading this, Mr. Trump, thank you!”
